What’s Your Passion?

Okay, you’ve decided you want to make money with Affiliate Marketing. So, you join some affiliate programs and start submitting free ads to newsletters and free advertising classifieds sites. You’re going to make BIG money now — right?

Okay, you’ve decided you want to make money with Affiliate Marketing. So, you join some affiliate programs and start submitting free ads to newsletters and free advertising classifieds sites. You’re going to make BIG money now — right?

Nope! Sorry! Just sending out a few ads is not going to do it. Not if you want to be a real success.

You must first determine your passion. I mean other than making the money! What is your hobby? What do you know how to do REALLY well? What is your job? Everyone has something that is their own special talent. Find yours.

You probably have more than one thing that you are very interested in and do well. See if you can find five (ten if you’re really ambitious). Write them down in a list. Remember, you are going to be spending a lot of time working with this subject. Make sure you enjoy it!

Go down each item on your list. Start writing a rough outline of everything you know about the topic. It doesn’t have to be elaborate. This is just to give you an idea of how much information is available for a given subject.

Try mind mapping. Write down the main subject of your idea. Draw a circle around it. Now, start thinking of sub-categories that are related to your main category. Draw a line from your main category and end it with a circle. Put the sub-category title inside this circle. Find as many sub-categories (and sub-sub-categories) as you can.

Go through each of your interests with this procedure. Choose the one that you know the most about and that you can write about comfortably.
What if you “think” you don’t know enough about your topic? Then, do some research. Read books and magazines. Do some searches on the Internet. Who knows? You might find an area, a niche, that is just waiting for you to fill it with useful information.

There’s a lot more to affiliate marketing, of course. But the first step is to find your passion. Your “passion” doesn’t have to be making money on the Internet. It can be cooking, sewing, billiards, or whatever. In fact, it’s better if you find a niche that isn’t in the online marketing arena because that’s what nearly everyone else is doing.

Make your topic unique. Make it yours. And make it your passion. It will pay you well.

Cold Laser Technology: How a Low Level Laser Promotes Healing

You might not know that cold laser technology has produced a powerful yet benign instrument that can promote healing and wellness.

Keywords:
cold laser, low level laser, soft laser, laser therapy, healing laser

When you hear the word, “laser,” what do you think of? Maybe the first thing that comes to mind is laser eye surgery, or perhaps you think about laser printers. It could be that laser-guided missiles pop into mind, or maybe you picture a laser pointer or a barcode scanner. What you might not know is that cold laser technology has produced a powerful yet benign instrument that can promote healing and wellness.

How a Cold Laser Works

A low level laser, sometimes known as a soft laser, is often used in cell regeneration. Essentially, the approach in this type of laser therapy comes from an understanding that every cell in the body has a “memory” of sorts. This memory comes from the cells’ polarity. Oftentimes, this polarity prevents the body from being able to regenerate or heal itself. When a healing laser is utilized, however, the cells release their charge and, thus, their memory. Once the cells have neutral energy, the cold laser donates energy to help them rejuvenate.

Systems and Conditions that Benefit

Soft laser therapy can help with a variety of conditions. For example, many people find it useful for pain relief – either acute or chronic – as well as for injuries, weight loss, and smoking cessation. Many others use a healing laser for detoxification, and for reversing the effects of adrenaline, which is known to contribute to pain, stress, diabetes, and aging. A cold laser can also be used for nerve regeneration, organ balancing, and lymph activation. Massage therapists and other healing arts practitioners use a cold laser to align the chakras or meridians, helping their clients to reconnect their bodies, minds, and spirits.

Handheld Devices

Soft lasers are available as portable, handheld devices, and some are designed to be used by both laypeople and health professionals. However, not all cold lasers are created equally. The best have 16 laser diodes in the 650nm and 780nm spectra, as well as a digital interface that is programmable. If you’re shopping for a healing laser, make sure to buy one through a company that will also provide you with a carrying case, a rechargeable AC adapter, and plug-ins for the pulsar probes. Most important of all, make sure that the company will supply you with a training DVD and manual. They should also offer support and assistance, as well as a full, money-back guarantee.

Generally speaking, lasers have a multitude of applications. Everyone from dentists to defense contractors to engravers use them. Thanks to cold laser technology, though, more people than ever before can benefit from the healing light and cellular rejuvenation that laser therapy provides.

What To Do If Someone You Know Is Diagnosed With Bird Flu

Bird flu is a scary and devastating disease. It has been decades since an influenza virus has had such misfortunate potential. Bird flu is a scary and devastating disease. It has been decades since an influenza virus has had such misfortunate potential. With the virus sweeping through most of Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, it is just a matter of time before it reaches every corner of the world. If the virus mutates, an even more deadly issue will be at hand. With such negative predictions, it is almost impossible not to imagine yourself or a love one at the hands of the disease. What would you do if this virus hit home?

The important thing to understand is the infection of bird flu is not necessarily a death sentence. Although a large number of deaths have occurred, almost half of those infected survived the disease. Therefore, with advanced medicine and proper care, a person may be able to live after bird flu.

What you do if someone you know is diagnosed will greatly depend on how well you know the person. Is it a friend? Acquaintance? Family member? Obviously, if it is a close friend or family member, you will want to be as supportive as possible. This will be a difficult time for them and any assistance you can provide will probably be greatly appreciated. On the other hand, if you are only dealing with an acquaintance, you may feel relieved and fortunate to have not suffered the same fate. While you may feel guilt at this thought, you can consider it a wake up call to bring the risk to your attention. You may also use this time to lend a helping hand, although you do not feel emotionally obligated to do so.

When someone you know becomes infected, you should also consider the source of the infection and the severity of the threat present. If a family member becomes ill while working on a family farm, you may ascertain infected agricultural animals are to blame and the threat must be alleviated. On the other hand, if no apparent cause is known, human to human contact may be a consideration. This is not only essential information for you to know, but also health professionals in your area. Currently human contact is not a transmission means; therefore, the onset of such would be of great concern.

The important thing to remember is to be there for your loved ones and feel blessed that you are available to help them as opposed to sharing their fate. You will, of course, want to be careful not to become infected during this time, if it can be avoided.

Allergies – Food Allergies

An article about food allergies.

Keywords:
allergies

In this article we’re going to focus on one of the most annoying types of allergies, especially to people who love to eat.

You go out to the local pizza parlor, order two slices with extra cheese, sit down at the booth with your pizza in one hand and coke in the other and chow down. A few hours later after you’ve arrived back home just in time to watch your favorite TV show, suddenly your stomach feels like it’s about to erupt like a volcano. You run like a madman to the bathroom just in time to experience what seems to be the complete emptying of your insides.

Welcome to the world of food allergies and intolerances.

In the case of the runs after eating a couple of slices of pizza most likely you’re lactose intolerant which is just one type of food allergy. Technically, you can be allergic to just about any kind of food but there are some that seem to be more common that others.

Before we go any further let’s define exactly what a food allergy is. Food allergies can be broken down into 2 categories. The first one is hypersensitivity. This is an adverse reaction of the immune system itself and is unrelated to any actual physical effect of the food or food additive. These reactions are caused by immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies.

The second category is food intolerance. This is actually caused by the food itself and is not a function of the immune system itself overreacting to the food or food additive. The symptoms of an intolerance may be very similar to those of an actual immune symptom reaction but the causes are quite different.

Of the two, actual immune system reactions are the more common, though it does appear that a trend to intolerances, such as lactose intolerance, is on the rise. What actually happens with food allergies is that people with allergies produce IgE antibodies to specific epitopes in the food allergen. These antibodies bind to IgE receptors on the mast cells of tissue that are on the skin, digestive tract and respiratory system. The exposure of these antigens causes the release of histamines. This ultimately results in mucus secretion and muscle contraction which then leads to a wide range of symptoms which can range from unpleasant to serious or even severe. How severe?

Allergic reactions to food can be fatal almost immediately following the ingestion of food. Probably one of the most prevalent and dangerous of these food allergies are people who are allergic to peanuts. Just recently, as of this writing, a girl died simply from kissing someone who had recently eaten peanuts. That is how dangerous these allergies can be.

Less severe reactions to food allergies are oropharyngeal pruritus, angioedema, stridor, cough, dyspnea, wheezing, and dysphonia.

Aside from peanuts, the most common foods that people are allergic to are tree nuts, and shellfish.

Unfortunately the best way to avoid food allergies is to have a food allergy test done and then to avoid the foods that show positive on the test.

Walking the Walk for AIDS

UNAIDS estimates that more than 37 million adults and 2 million children are infected with HIV worldwide. The AIDS epidemic has hit the hardest in sub-Saharan Africa, where 75 percent of the women ages 15 to 24 are infected.

Closer to home, 40,000 people per year in the U.S. are infected, more than half of whom are African-American women. The latter group by itself accounts for 72 percent of all new HIV diagnoses in women.

In the face of these overwhelming statistics, what can be done? Some corporations are making a difference with contributions to charities supporting the cause and helping in other ways.

For example, Roche, a pharmaceutical company that developed the HIV protease inhibitors Invirase and Viracept, has not filed any patents for its medicines – including those for HIV/AIDS – in the least-developed nations and sub-Saharan Africa. This means that these countries, which are devastated by the epidemic, can manufacture and sell cheap, generic versions of the drugs without waiting for the patents to expire.

The company also is dedicated to increasing awareness of the illnesses.

“Roche is committed to driving social responsibility programs that increase awareness and combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic at the local and international level,” said George Abercrombie, president and CEO, Hoffmann-La Roche Inc., the U.S. pharmaceuticals headquarters of Roche.

Beyond this, Roche and its employees are working more directly to address the problem through the company’s annual Global Employee AIDS Walk in observance of World AIDS Day.

Roche employees have been participating in the walk for more than two years. In December 2005, more than 11,000 employees from 85 affiliates in 42 countries walked to raise funds for AIDS organizations. The money raised through their pledges was matched by the company.

Some of the funds are distributed to local HIV/AIDS organizations. In New Jersey, for example, funds will go to the NJ AIDS Partnership. The rest goes to children in Malawi, Africa, who have been orphaned by AIDS. The money goes to buy everything from food and clean water to shelter, books and sewing machines.

HIV is spread by sexual contact with an infected person, by sharing needles or syringes with someone who is infected or – less commonly – through transfusions of infected blood. Babies of HIV-infected women may become infected before or during birth or through breast feeding.

Why should perfectly good hair begin falling down? When they do begin falling, we worry endlessly and try to find remedies. What are the reasons for hair fall?

Why should perfectly good hair begin falling down? When they do begin falling, we worry endlessly and try to find remedies. What are the reasons for hair fall? Let us try and find out as many of them as we can and find out how to stop that.

Hair loss – some reasons

The main reason other than genetic or a disorder is mishandling of hair. When we have good hair, we want to experiment with that. We get it colored. Go for perming. Get other heat and chemical treatments done to look good. Every treatment that changes hair does it by hurting the cuticle. After many treatments the cuticle cannot take it and breaks down. The cortex (inner part of hair) also fails and hair breaks. If the chemicals reach the pore and destroy the follicle growth there, you lose the hair.

Chemotherapy in cancer makes one loose hair. That is temporary and because of the therapy. After sometime the hair grows back. Some medicines cause hair loss. If you are on medication and are suffering hair loss, please ask your doctor about possible connection. Diet is another reason. Low iron or proteins may cause hair loss. Women lose hair after pregnancy but get them back. Unless you are suffering from alopecia aerta or genetic hair loss, you can easily find out the reason and rectify that. Please talk to your doctor about any supplements that can help you have healthy hair. Also discuss possible reasons specific to you for your hair loss.

Checking Out Inferiority Complex

An inferiority complex, in the fields of psychology and psychoanalysis, is a feeling that one is inferior to others in some way. It is often unconscious, and is thought to drive afflicted individuals to overcompensate, resulting either in spectacular achievement or extreme antisocial well being.

Keywords:
inferiority complex, depression, well being

Whether you’re fat or thin, black or white, yellow or brown, big or small — somehow, in some little way — you might have had thoughts of inferiority. The self-defeating attitude of comparing ourselves with others…the little negative things we tell ourselves only serve to put our own self-image in a bad light. We sometimes tell ourselves that we are not good enough, pretty enough, or smart enough. And when this sense of “being less in value compared to others” controls our behavior, it can already be considered an inferiority complex.

An “inferiority complex” or extremely low self esteem is a concept we are all familiar with. Chances are, we know someone or even we ourselves suffer from this complex. People with low self-esteem are more likely to be irritable or aggressive. They may also be more likely to have feelings of resentment, alienation, and suffer depression.

An inferiority complex, in the fields of psychology and psychoanalysis, is a feeling that one is inferior to others in some way. It is often unconscious, and is thought to drive afflicted individuals to overcompensate, resulting either in spectacular achievement or extreme antisocial behavior. It is a fomr of psychological and emotional disability that adversely affects a person’s well-being.

The subconscious mind of a man still carries the same feelings of being weak compared to others and that’s why he felt worthless compared to others. The man labeled himself with labels like being weak, inadequate, stupid, or clumsy. These labels accompanied him everywhere and although they were buried deep into his subconscious mind, they took control of his behavior and feelings. He tried to convince himself that he is fine now and that he doesn’t have a reason to feel inferior again but this never worked, his subconscious mind needs much more than this in order to stop making him feel inferior.
Usually rejection by family and friends, or exceedingly high expectations is often the root cause of an inferiority complex. A man’s view of himself is based on the things he or she is being told, the specific situations that a man is experiencing, and the way he or she is treated. Inferiority complex is deeply rooted in the man’s childhood. Children suffering from an inferiority complex isolate themselves from others and become preoccupied with their feelings of inferiority. As they grow up they are unable to face failures and they feel they don’t have what it takes to succeed in life.
Years later, when a child grows up and starts to be more socially adept, opportunities to overcome low self-esteem increase. The once-insecure child can strive to excel in school or in sports. Yet in the back of that child’s mind, those old self-defeating thoughts might still lie dormant and ready to resurface during the next encounter with failure or put-downs from other people.
People who suffer from an inferiority complex can also become obsessed with their weaknesses. They always keep thinking that others are superior to them. They often get nervous while talking to others, especially if the opposite person is talking confidently.
Nature doesn’t believe in similarity. It creates creatures and objects, human beings included, with such unmistakable uniqueness. Even twins are different from each other in so many ways. perhaps the key to overcome the sense of low self-worth is to begin taking stock of our good and unique features or qualities. By developing those qualities, skills, and attributes, we are able to “shine” and achieve identity and distinction. Indeed, inferiority complex is an irrational and unhealthy condition. Every person on the planet has at least one unique quality that is superior to others. Given that fact, how can one be inferior?

Antioxidants are intimately involved in the prevention of cellular damage, which is the common pathway for cancer, aging, and a variety of diseases. The scientific community has begun to unveil some of the mysteries surrounding this topic, and the media has begun whetting our thirst for knowledge.

Considering Foods High in Powerful Antioxidants?

Grab a Handful of Almonds! The next time you’re shopping for antioxidant-rich foods, make sure to add almonds to your cart. Not only are almonds rich in vitamin E, fiber and magnesium, but according to a study, almonds contain antioxidants in levels comparable to those of healthy foods such as broccoli and tea. This high antioxidant content makes eating a handful of almonds a day more important than ever for good health.

The researchers are now conducting additional phases of antioxidant research to describe how efficiently the human body extracts and absorbs these compounds from almonds.

AHA Guidelines

The AHA guidelines are the first to put a number on how little trans fat one should eat: just 1 percent or less of total calories. For someone who eats 2,000 calories daily considered the “average” intake, that’s about two grams of trans fat per day , or roughly the amount in half a small bag of fast-food fries.

Athletes have a keen interest because of health concerns and the prospect of enhanced performance and/or recovery from exercise.

Great Tips

1. Follow a balanced training program that emphasizes regular exercise and eat 5 servings of fruit or vegetables per day. This will ensure that you are developing your inherent antioxidant systems and that your diet is providing the necessary components.

2. Weekend warriors should strongly consider a more balanced approach to exercise.

3. Failing that, consider supplementation.

4. For extremely demanding races (such as an ultradistance event), or when adapting to high altitude, consider taking a vitamin E supplement (100 to 200 IU, approximately 10 times the RDA) per day for several weeks up to and following the race.

5. Look for upcoming FDA recommendations, but be wary of advertising and media hype.

6. Do not oversupplement.

Antioxidants protect cells from damage caused by unstable molecules known as free radicals. That is a fact, and we urge you to find out more about Antioxidants and how they can benefit you today!
